Brilliant Once Set Up
As others have put before the item works a treat once set up but set up is not click and play. I tried to use the auto set up but got nothing out of it so then tried it manually. An important point to remember is that once you have set it up correctly at a plug point near your pc you can then unplug it and move it anywhere, it remembers the settings although does take a minute or so to connect when powered up again.
To set up I put an ethernet cable from the back of my pc into the zyxel unit and powered it up. I then opened the browser and typed in the address 192.168.1.2. This took me to a set up page. The wizard did not start automatically but I found a button/icon on the set up page that needed clicking. Once clicked it quickly found my router which I selected and then followed the Next button putting in my network security password from my original router. Remember to change the SSID (Name) of the new router so you can differentiate it from your normal...

I was a little dubious about buying this, since several reviews state that it is murder to set up. It isn't.... you just have to keep calm and not expect the "auto set-up" option to work.
Firstly, on the back of the extender there is a sticker. Make a note of the last 4 digits of the MAC address.
Plug it into a wall socket anywhere within wireless range of your router/access point. This doesn't have to be where you want it to live after set-up - but you have to be able to connect it to a computer for now. If you have a laptop then it is fairly easy. In my case I plugged it in next to my desktop PC just to get it set up and working.
Connect it to a laptop or PC using an ethernet cable (they've even put one in the box to help you) and switch the extender on. Leave it for a minute or two to wake up. Open your browser (they suggest IE or Firefox) on the computer and either go to "192.168.1.2" or use the URL given on the instruction sheet ([...] where...
