Buffalo AirStation Dual Band Wireless-N Ethernet Converter with AP and Bridge

Good universal product with teething problems
I've had the WLAE-AG300N for nearly three months now, and I'm getting to grips with its gremlins.

PROS:
- it works as universal range extender / ethernet converter with theoretically any base station (I've tried D-LINK, Netgear and Linksys base stations with it) supporting WPA-AES encryption, a big step forward from the common WDS systems, which hardly works at all.

- it supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n

Easy set up and "after set up (via PC)" you can move this little gem to any ethernet connection that requires a wireless link, simple technology for a excellent product.
Finally something that works perfectly!
I tried the edimax access point, and more recently the netgear wireless repeater to extend the wireless signal to the dead spots in my house. I can honestly say it was very easy to set up, It was done in 5-10 minutes, all my wireless devices picked it up and accepted the passwords etc with no problems. One tip though - this product has two wireless frequencies available - on the default frequency some apple products (IPhone and IPad) would not find this access point. But going into the access point options and selecting the alternative lower frequency this was quickly resolved. All devices now work 100% with a strong signal.

One further bonues was this...
