Simple and effective
What do you do when you need more ethernet connections, but your router has run out of ports? Simple, buy this. Take a cat5 cable from the back of this into your router and hey presto, you gain some more ports. Comes with a power adaptor, plug in and it self configures and you're up and running.
One thing to remember though. You'll need one port on the back of your router and one on the back of this to connect them together. Therefore, you'll only have four left on this 5 port hub that you can use. But if you only need one of two additional points this is worthwhile and very inexpensive.
Good price and works well
Bought for my son who's at Uni with his PC & Xbox set up in his room. He wanted to have the PC and Xbox connected to the Uni's network at the same time. Decided on this product after reading other reviews and I'm told it works fine, and at the price was a very good buy.
Switch Review
I have a 100MB/s shared internet connection to my flat and purchased this to allow my laptop and Xbox 360 to connect to the internet simultaneously, and I was pleasantly surprised that not only did it work well, it worked so well that I could play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 online and watch BBC iPlayer at the same time, lag free!
Well worth the money!
