Excellent piece of kit
I spend a lot of time in hotels and I'm sick of not being able to use the ipad because many rooms have a fixed LAN socket / cable instead of wifi. Just jack this thing into the LAN socket and you have virtually instant wifi to hook into. It worked in 10 seconds of plugging it in and the range is fine for hotel rooms and small spaces. Not sure how secure it is but in terms of functionality its 10 out of 10. I am currently running one ipad and two netbooks off of this thing on one LAN siocket in one hotel room and the connection speeds are fine!
5* Travel Wifi Router - perfect holiday companion, ipad,kindle,smartphone
I have to say i bought this wifi router as i knew my hotel in Turkey had free internet but was cabled only.
This meant it would be fine for the laptop but what about our Iphone, Ipad and kindle that also want to access the internet ?
This travel router was perfect, it's small enough not to get in the way and the signal was Excellent, not only did it fill my hotel room and balcony but people 2 rooms down also now had wifi access (you can passwd the connection if you want to).
Perfect purchase at a bargain price, would recommend to anyone and everyone.
Traveller's Little Helper
Delighted with this. A good, inexpensive addition to the travel kit which is proving to be a real winner. Spending much of the week, each week, in hotels and limited to their cabled internet access - this allows me to convert the the access into a WiFi zone and use my iPad, and smartphone in the room over the hotel network. It also frees me up from the pokey little desk, when I wish to use my laptop elsewhere in the room, beyond the reach of the 30cm ethernet cable.
Now all I need is the hotels to improve the speed of their internet connections.
