Belkin F4U016UK 4 Port Desktop USB Hub with Power Supply

Belkin USB hub
A nice little product from Belkin. Appears to be of solid construction, much better than some of the other flimsy tat out there.
It is also has it own plug type power supply which means will actually drive a few USB hard drives, printers etc as many USB bus powered hubs sometimes don't have enougth grunt to power anything substantial.
It has a mini USB "IN" connector on the rear (lead supplied in box) plus three std USB connections plus the handy fourth std USB on the front which is a nice touch. No LED status lamps as such though which is claimed in some reviews. An anti-slip rubber foot helps to some extent keep it in one place but I would recommend some self-adhesive velcro or wedging it somewhere firm else you maybe chasing it around your desk/floor after a few days.

I checked it worked with a first generation WDTV HD running WDLXTV and again all the drives were detected.

If you want to use this USB hub with a WD TV media player, it's worth pointing out it will only work on those running the modified WDLXTV firmware. The official Western Digital firmware has disabled hub support on the Gen 1, Gen 2 and Live.

Update: 04/04/11
I've now switched to the newer Western Digital TV Live Streaming Media Player and this hub works with the official...
