great adapter
purchased this for my wdtv live media player...
plugged it in,ran the set up for wireless connection on the wdtv live, just needed to enter my ssid, after that,my network worked str8 away with the media player..it streams films and music flawlessly, although have to say that i have vm 30mb with the new super hub...it streams 720p and 1080p with no trouble wotsoever..and plays any kind of music file (wma-flac-sacd) with no loss of origional quality...
i used the same adapter to connect my px710w artisan printer to my wireless network and set up was a breeze...
i absolutely recommend this adapter for all your wireless needs.......
Works in Win7 32 bit but not under WEP
Win 7 installed a generic driver whereas the accompanying CD installed an ASUS specific driver. Could not connect at all under WEP but had no problems after shifting to WPA2only. Connects at 270 Mbps to a D-Link dual band N router about 20 m away and is dual band, so connects on two channels. Works better out of the box than an extended range Linksys that I tried first, and which refuses to reconnect after the computer has been in standby for a few hours.
Works well on Linux
This adapter not only works well on Windows 7 with the supplied software on disk, but it's also recognised by the latest versions of Ubuntu (Linux) 12.04 without extra drivers or special configuration.
They also include a short USB extension lead (10cm) in case it's needed.
