Very good value for money
I bought this router based on the communication that i had with Asus. Asus was claiming that this router has a real time traffic monitor, like the more expensive Asus models, however this is not the case.

That aside I think the dsl-n12u it's a pretty decent modem/router.

Here are some Pros:

1. With the latest firmware it can be used for cable internet, for ADSL or even for 3g, by connecting a dongle on its usb port. I think this is the only router at that price offering that flexibility.
2. It has a nice graphical interface. Probably the more advanced users will not appreciate it, but definitely the beginners will find it quite easy to navigate and understand
3. It has 2 powerful antennas helping the wireless signal.
4. Ping and sync on the adsl modem was without problems and maintains a pretty steady connection

Good router but with one fault
OK lets start with the bad, which is why I guess most people read reviews. The one fault I've identified with this router is that you have to reboot it when you "save" or "apply" settings in the web based GUI. It's not a killer fault, hence still four stars, but it is rather annoying. It means it takes quite a while to do initial set up of the router as the GUI doesn't remember changes you make on each individual screen, you have to apply the settings after you've made them which always causes a reboot and users get kicked off when you're doing admin. The reboot takes a few seconds to complete (say 20-30 seconds) and disconnects any connected users whether they're downloading, streaming, browsing or whatever. So for initial set up when you're changing your DHCP settings, configuring wifi, LAN, WAN, etc, etc, there are lots of reboots and it takes much longer than it should. Brilliant product
Excellent router. Bought to share my server Internet connection with other wired devices. Did the job. Sadly the USB port does not work as a NAS port only 3G and so far no firmware update adds it. Otherwise great product with excellent signal and no dropouts. Easy to configure
