It is compatible with Windows 7....
I've seen a few reviews on here giving this product a low star rating because of its claimed incompatibility with Windows 7, yet Linksys do claim it is on their website. I have it working fine on Windows 7 64-bit.
Firstly, you ditch the CD. Then plug it into a USB socket, either directly or using the extension/stand. Windows will no doubt tell you that device installation has been unsuccessful - this is what we want as it shows they are connected correctly.
Hit Start and start to type "Device Manager", open said Device Manager and Navigate to Network adapters. You should see "Linksys WUSB600N v2" with a yellow mark next to it. Right click it and go to Update Driver Software, and download the Vista (32 or 64bit) drivers from the Linksys website under the support section - yes I do mean the Vista drivers.
Once you have downloaded the folder, you will have three folders within that, Mac OS X, Vista32 and 64, keep the one relevant to your operation system,...

Linksys Wireless-N USB Adapter
This superb wireless adapter was very easy to set up and is certainly very powerful. We live in an old house with very thick walls and the adapter connected easily on the third floor with our BT hub on the ground floor. It is also sufficiently powerful to connect from the other side of our garden with the hub in the hallway. I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
Brilliant Pickup And No Complaints!
When writing a review I always try and look for the negatives as well as the positives but this little wireless adapter is perfect!
I had a B/G card in my Dell laptop so wanted this for N coverage on my new broadband router.
I installed it in under 2 minutes and the pickup is fantastic! I used to see 2 networks with my inbuilt laptop but this picks up 7 networks!
And when connected on N it is hyper fast and very stable.
All in all this is a quality product, good software, amazing coverage and doesn't seem to be too bad on battery life.
Not cheap but then again Cisco is the world's best network kit!
A recommended purchase!!
