Does just as advertised
The dongle picked up the wifi straight away and iPlayer worked straight away. I had read that there might be problems with the dongle coming out of the back of the Humax recorder so I used a USB extension lead so I could pong the dongle in the right direction. Very pleased with the fast delivery.
Nice addition to the Humax HD Freeview recorder
I bought the Humax HDRFOXT2 a few weeks ago and I was keen to get the best use out of the internet TV Portal feature (currently comprising BBC iPlayer, YouTube and a few other less useful options). The received wisdom is that you have to use the USB port on the back where the dongle is likely to be right against the wall and probably in the worst place to get a signal. This is nonsense - the dongle works perfectly well in the front USB port which may be better located to get a really good signal. If you're happy it won't get snapped off, the front is probably better.
Alternatively, put a...
